Michigan enters the matchup with the better set of overall performances this season and with a two-game winning streak over Ohio State.
The Wolverines concocted a perfect formula to beat their biggest rival and they will use a similar strategy to extend the winning run to three games.
The Rivalry Week schedule starts and ends with Ohio State-Michigan for some college football fans, but there are plenty of other Top 25 games with importance. including a Friday night contest in Oregon.

Michigan bullied Ohio State in the trenches in the last two head-to-head meetings.
The Wolverines ran for 252 yards in last season’s 45-23 victory and forced a pair of turnovers out of the Buckeyes.
Ohio State had no answer for the rushing attack, which did not have Blake Corum at full strength, an advantage Michigan contains on Saturday.
Corum has been the star of the Michigan ground game during its rise to prominence as a playoff contender and could be in for his first massive showing against Ohio State. Donovan Edwards ran for 216 yards and two scores on 22 carries last season.
J.J. McCarthy is also one year wiser in the quarterback battle, and that could help Michigan move the ball in key situations compared to first-year Ohio State starter Kyle McCord making his debut in the rivalry
Ohio State has the best player in the matchup in wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., but there is a way for Michigan to slow him down.
The Wolverines can put an abundance of pressure on McCord and force him into bad throws or turnovers, and they can commit an extra man to defending Harrison when the OSU quarterback has time in the pocket.
Michigan can also defend Harrison by keeping the ball in its offense’s hands. The Wolverines can methodically move the ball down the field with Corum, Edwards and Co. to take a ton of time off the clock.
The Wolverines may be the lower-ranked side in the matchup, but until Ohio State proves it has an answer for their rushing attack, they are the rightful favorite.

The Oregon Ducks are one win away from the Pac-12 Championship Game.
The Ducks cruised to five straight victories since their three-point loss to the Washington Huskies on October 14.
Bo Nix and Co. produced at least 35 points in all five of those wins and the smallest margin of victory in that stretch was nine points.
Oregon kept up its dominant play with a 49-13 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils in Week 12, a game that was over by halftime.
The Oregon State Beavers went through a 60-minute battle with the Washington Huskies and the fatigue from that contest could set in on Friday night, especially if Nix wears out their secondary.
The Heisman Trophy candidate has 10 passing touchdowns in the last two games. He could use Troy Franklin and his other weapons to hurt the Oregon State defense to the same extend he did Arizona State.
Oregon’s defense has been equally as impressive, as it held five of its eight Pac-12 foes under 20 points.
The Ducks have the perfect combination of an explosive offense and a strong defense that can not just win the Pac-12, but make a push for the CFB Playoff.
They have an opportunity to showcase their all-around game to a national audience on Friday night and they should pass that test with ease to cover the spread and set up a rematch with Washington in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
