Watch: Sean Strickland points firearm at alleged criminal on his property
Sean Strickland, the UFC’s middleweight champion, likely isn’t someone most would want to tangle with.
The 185-pound titleholder, who earned his first major world championship by comprehensively outpointing Israel Adesanya in Australia earlier this year, uploaded a video to social media of him intercepting an alleged criminal who had entered his driveway. The brief clip shows a man, apparently being pursued by someone, appearing to ‘hide’ in between two cars parked in his driveway — after which Strickland emerges from his home brandishing what seems to be a firearm.
Another video shows Strickland and a third man appearing to pursue and detain the alleged criminal, who gets shoved to the ground.
According to Strickland, the man was “drunk stomping out a girl, a security guard seen it, he jumped in his car and drove off.”
He added: “Security followed him, hit a curb, completely shredded his tire, drove on the rim for awhile then jumped out and tried to hide at my house. I initially thought he was stealing my car. … He was arrested.”
