Ryan Garcia Makes Bold Statement on Possibility of Future Rolly Romero Fight
Rolly Romero will take on Isaac Cruz in Match 30 at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, with his WBO super lightweight title on the line! Originally, the Las Vegas resident was supposed to fight Ryan Garcia, but he took a major U-Turn and went with Cruz. Nevertheless, he can always fight Garcia some other time, right?

Since the fight with Romero fell apart, Garcia has finalized a deal with Devin Haney to fight on 20 April somewhere in Las Vegas. That fight will have Haney’s WBC super lightweight title on the line, officially making Garcia’s fight bigger than Romero’s. Meanwhile, the Victorville native has announced his final verdict of a future fight with Romero during an interview today!

Speaking to ‘King Ry,’ Jack Alter, the host, suggested when Garcia and Romero will eventually fight. However, Garcia had some other plans in mind already, who revealed his thoughts on fighting Romero. “[F**k Rolly Romero], I am never going to fight Romero. I am never going to give him any of that,” said Garcia.
It’s worth mentioning that enough money in the sport can turn every no into a yes, but the question is, who is going to pay that cash to Ryan to fight Romero now? However, if Garcia loses to Devin Haney in their upcoming fight, chances are he would be open to a rendezvous with Romero in the ring. While Garcia promises never to see Romero in the ring, the latter might not look for it at all.

Rolly Romero compares Isaac Cruz to Garcia
While appearing in an interview with Fight Hub TV yesterday, the WBO super lightweight champion reflected on his choice of opponent. He claimed, “I decided to take a much more difficult fight than Ryan Garcia for less money. But people want to f**king bash me for taking a more difficult fight. I would say Pitbull Cruz is a more difficult fighter than Ryan Garcia.”

What’s more, he proceeded to draw comparisons between Garcia and Cruz, claiming, “He is much more durable. He punches; he is aggressive.” It’s worth mentioning that both Cruz and Garcia had fought Gervonta Davis! While the Cruz fight went the distance, Garcia had to take a knee after absorbing a brutal body shot from Davis in the seventh round. So, in a way, what Romero said wasn’t untrue, especially because Romero himself has faced Davis and lost.

Whether Cruz is better than Garcia is yet to be seen, but Romero definitely missed out on a big payday. Something he is unlikely to get again! If Garcia loses against Haney, who would want to watch Garcia vs. Romero? And if Garcia wins, he would not give Romero another opportunity. Do you think Garcia and Romero would happen?
