Blake Snell — along with Cody Bellinger, Jordan Montgomery, Matt Cashman and J.D. Martinez — headlines the list of unsigned MLBers as 2024 begins, which no one is happy about.
What those stars have in common: Super agent Scott Boras.
Boras hates deadlines and loves stalemates but gets huge deals for stars, which is why players play the waiting game.
In terms of precedent: Boras-repped Bryce Harper didn’t sign with the Phillies in 2019 until Feb. 28
