A lawsuit accusing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott of sexual assault has been moved to a different Texas county, according to the plaintiff’s attorney and ESPN’s Todd Archer.

The suit was filed in Dallas County but has now been moved to Collin County, Archer reported.

The Cowboys’ headquarters are located in Collin County.

Attorney Yoel Zehaie said the lawsuit was moved “for purposes of convenience” in order to file in the same county where Prescott is pursuing an extortion claim against the woman, per Archer.

Zehaie added that reports the plaintiff had entirely dropped the case were “misleading,” according to Briahn Hawkins and Ryan Osborne of WFAA.

The lawsuit was dropped in Dallas County after an April 8 request for “non-suit without prejudice,” which means the plaintiff could eventually refile the lawsuit, Hawkins and Osborne noted. The judge approved the request on April 12.

Prescott’s lawsuit, which seeks in excess of $1 million in damages, asserts the defendant is attempting to extort $100 million from him with a false accusation of sexual assault.

That suit was filed on behalf of Prescott after the Cowboys player received a letter from the defendant’s legal team on Jan. 16 that detailed the alleged sexual assault taking place following Prescott’s rookie season in February 2017, according to Mike Florio of NBC Sports.

The letter asked for $100 million in damages “to forego pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public,” Florio reported.

Dallas police are investigating the sexual assault accusation, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, while the Prosper police are looking into Prescott’s extortion claim, Archer reported. Archer noted that both investigations remain active.
