New York Jets running back Breece Hall is expected to have a large role in the team’s offense and increase his individual production even further in 2024.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that NFL insiders believe Hall could reach 2,500 total yards by the end of the year during an appearance on SportsCenter.

“One of the best fantasy running back picks out there is this Jets running back Breece Hall,” Schefter said. “There are people around the league who believe he’s poised to pile up 2,500 combined yards this season. And if that’s the case, then he’ll be an elite performer, one of the top fantasy performers. He’s running behind a reworked offensive line and Breece Hall will be a top pick in fantasy drafts over the next nine or so days.”

Hall isn’t exactly a fantasy sleeper, as he’s coming off a 2023 season in which he recorded 1,585 yards from scrimmage to go along with nine total touchdowns.

Still, he should operate as one of the pillars of New York’s offense with the return of Aaron Rodgers under center after an Achilles injury ended the star quarterback’s 2023 campaign in Week 1.

Rodgers is well-known for getting his running backs involved in the pass game. During his final season with the Green Bay Packers in 2022, running back Aaron Jones ranked No. 2 on the team with 59 catches.

Hall could also experience more consistency on his carries in the backfield after his average of 4.5 yards per carry in 2023 slipped from his impressive rookie-season mark of 5.8 yards per attempt.

The Jets made several additions to their offensive line during the offseason, selecting tackle Olu Fashanu with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. They added former Baltimore Ravens guard John Simpson and former Dallas Cowboys tackle Tyron Smith in free agency, bringing back tackle Morgan Moses in a March 14 trade with Baltimore.

With Rodgers healthy and a revamped offensive line, NFL insiders believe that Hall could finish the 2024 season as one of the top fantasy performers.
