In their first meeting in May, Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight champion with a split decision victory over Fury in one of the best heavyweight fights in some time. Usyk improved his record to 22-0, which also includes becoming an undisputed cruiserweight champion.

Fury aims to bounce back from his first career loss, as his record dropped to 34-1-1. Prior to the loss to Usyk, Fury squeaked out a split decision against former UFC champ, and current PFL heavyweight Francis Ngannou.
