Howie Roseman will have more money than expected to spend this offseson

The Eagles are still celebrating their Super Bowl win, but Howie Roseman has another reason to be excited after the NFL informed teams of the new 2025 salary cap. Teams will get over a $22 million increase compared to last season, landing somewhere between $277.5M and $281.5M for the year, per reports.

Heading into free agency, there are some big names the Eagles have to pay if they want to keep some of their stars in Philly, including Zack Baun, Milton Williams, Mekhi Becton, and Josh Sweat. Roseman is looking at having just under $20 million to work with this offseason with the boost.

Plus, we all know that to Howie Roseman, the salary cap is more of a suggestion than a limitation, because he’ll find a way to work the numbers to allow the Eagles to sign the best talent at a price that’s fair. This will also give the team a little more wiggle room if they truly are considering a trade for Myles Garrett — they have the draft capital and now have a bigger salary cap to work with.

If nothing else, more money means more money to the players, and they certainly deserve some raises for the way they played in 2024.
