Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …

Joey Bosa’s 8 biggest suitors in NFL free agency, ranked by where we think he’ll land – SB Nation
4. Philadelphia Eagles. It might be worth keeping an eye on Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles when it comes to Bosa. The defending Super Bowl Champions made news this week, inking Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun to new contracts. But the Eagles are also set to lose some talent along the defensive line. Brandon Graham, who reportedly re-tore his triceps muscle in Super Bowl LIX, is expected to retire and both Josh Sweat and Milton Williams are set to hit free agency. With Sweat in particular expected to command a big deal, Roseman could look to replace some of his production next season with a deal for Bosa.

The 49ers are the betting favorites to land Joey Bosa – PFT
The folks at DraftKings have installed the 49ers as the betting favorite to unite Bosa with his younger brother, Nick. The odds at +220. Next on the list is the team that cut him, the Chargers. They’re 4-1. The Lions are 8-1, and the Bears and Patriots land at 9-1. Next are the Bengals and Cardinals at 10-1, followed by the Commanders and Eagles at 12-1.

Jalen Hurts wanted to run up the score a little more on the Chiefs in the Super Bowl – BGN
The Philadelphia Eagles finally released their own Super Bowl Mic’d Up video and it’s everything you need nearly a month since the victory. With free agency less than a week away, it’s the perfect time to reflect again on how special this group was and how close their bond became. There were still so many new moments revealed, including Jalen Hurts wanting to run the score up a bit more late in the fourth quarter. It was pretty incredible to watch Jalen Hurts go up to Nick Sirianni to make sure the head coach really wanted to pull the starters near the end of the game. When Sirianni realized the heft of the situation, he turned to Hurts to celebrate the moment and what it meant.

Three free agents who make sense for the Eagles, version 3.0 – PhillyVoice
Jesse Luketa hasn’t played much through his first three NFL seasons. However, in limited action in 2024, he showed legitimate promise. He is a good run defender, but he also had three sacks on just 74 pass rush snaps. Here he is beating Tyron Smith for a sack. The Eagles have a pair of young, promising edge rushers in Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt. They’re also probably stuck with Bryce Huff for one more season. Assuming Josh Sweat leaves in free agency and Brandon Graham retires, the Eagles will need to add to their depth in addition to addressing the position in the draft. If he signs with another team after being non-tendered as a restricted free agent, Luketa would not count toward the compensatory pick formula. It’s also worth noting that Luketa had an in-person visit with the Eagles prior to the 2022 NFL Draft.

Young Eagles Cooper DeJean, Moro Ojomo, Jalyx Hunt, and Sydney Brown could be called on to contribute more – Inquirer
As for whether Ojomo would step into Williams’ shoes as a 4-technique run defender, Ojomo doesn’t think his lack of size hinders him. At 282 pounds, he’s only eight pounds lighter than Williams. “In anything, you play to your strengths,” Ojomo said, “and maybe some other things, you figure out a way to make it work for you.” Another big decision looms after the draft with the deadline for Davis’ fifth-year option. Will the Eagles pick it up? That’s ensuring him a $12.4 million salary for 2026. That is to be determined. But there may be more than just one edge defender they’ll replace on the defensive line. Sweat could leave via free agency, and Brandon Graham is still considering retirement. There’s also the matter of Bryce Huff, who didn’t even dress for the Super Bowl. Roseman has said he still thinks the story is yet to be written on Huff, but he can’t be going into the offseason thinking the $51 million man will contribute in Vic Fangio’s defense next season. Roseman will try to trade Huff, but it’s going to be hard to move that contract.

Fran Duffy’s three-round post-combine NFL Mock Draft: Eagles add an impact edge rusher – PHLY
36) Philadelphia (Jacksonville) – EDGE Nic Scourton – Texas A&M. Scourton was named first-team All-SEC this year after leading the Big Ten in sacks the year before. A power rusher who has experience dropping in coverage while also being a competitive run defender and lining up all over the front? He seems like a nice fit for Vic Fangio’s defensive line.

Will Saquon Barkley’s historic season help free agent RBs? – ESPN
But even with Barkley’s accomplishments in his first year as an Eagle and subsequent payday, a free agency running back renaissance isn’t necessarily imminent. Conversations with nearly a dozen league officials revealed that while the free agent running back market appears stronger than the one that prompted the July 2023 call, the 2025 free agents aren’t projected to continue the trajectory of the record-setting 2024 class. Instead, last year’s financial and on-field success were the product of a “confluence of events,” according to one league source. While league executives don’t expect Barkley & Co.’s success to significantly impact contracts of 2025 free agent running backs, offensive and defensive trends could increase demand at the position. But, NFL decision-makers cautioned, the market might be less robust because of a deep running back draft class.

“Abbott Elementary” Cast Reveals Jalen Hurts and Other Eagles Players Brought the Super Bowl Trophy to Their Set (Exclusive) – Yahoo! Sports
Jalen Hurts and his Philadelphia Eagles teammates made another visit to the Abbott Elementary set — this time with the Vince Lombardi trophy in hand. “A couple of Eagles [players] came to our set and brought the trophy,” William Stanford Davis told PEOPLE at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood Park, Calif. on Sunday, March 2. “We got a chance to rub it. It was nice.” The set visit came after the Eagles’ 2025 Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs, securing Hurts his first championship title.

Performance coach touted by NFL star AJ Brown has a book deal – AP
The performance coach whose self-published “Inner Excellence” received a public boost from NFL wide receiver A.J. Brown has a book deal. Grand Central Publishing Group announced Thursday that it will re-release Jim Murphy’s surprise bestseller and has acquired his self-published “The Best Possible Life.” The new edition of “Inner Excellence” will come out this spring, and “The Best Possible Life” is scheduled for Sept. 30. Grand Central also plans an “Inner Excellence” workbook. “I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming response to ‘Inner Excellence’ and for the impact it’s had on so many lives around the world,” Murphy said in a statement. “My mission has always been to help people unlock their full potential — not just in performance, but in life — and I’m excited to continue that journey.”

PFF lists Colts as ‘perfect free agent fit’ for Eagles OG Mekhi Becton – Stampede Blue
Still only 25-years-old, the big bodied 6’7,” 363 pound guard had a career rejuvenation with the Super Bowl winning Eagles offense in 2024, recording a +70.7 overall grade during 15 starts, which ranked the 20th highest among all offensive guards this past season. Given Colts head coach Shane Steichen’s familiarity and similar offensive play-calling to the current Eagles offense—which features another dual-threat quarterback Jalen Hurts, PFF’s rationale at least makes a bit of sense for connecting Becton to the Colts in free agency—particularly regarding his road paving prowess in the RPO game.

Potential free agent targets for the Carolina Panthers – Cat Scratch Reader
Josh Sweat, Edge. The Panthers had one of the worst pass rushes in the NFL last season. Jadeveon Clowney and A’Shawn Robinson led the team in sacks last year with 5.5 each, and that’s simply not good enough. There’s going to be a lot of competition for Sweat’s services coming off a Super Bowl run, but the Panthers should at least make an effort.

Patriots to tender restricted free agent Christian Elliss, per report – Pats Pulpit
Elliss, 26, entered the offseason as a restricted free agent. The Patriots will keep him on a right of first refusal tender at a cost of $3.263 million. An undrafted free agent out of Idaho, Elliss started his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021. After brief stints in Philadelphia and San Francisco, he returned to the Eagles late during his rookie season. Over the next three years, he developed into a core special teamer and part-time linebacker for Philadelphia. However, after appearing in 19 games for the organization, he was waived in December 2023. The Patriots scooped him up via the waiver wire, first using him exclusively in the kicking game.

Saints announce full coaching staff – Canal Street Chronicles
A new addition to the coaching staff that was not revealed until now is Kyle Valero. Last season, Valero was an offensive assistant with the Super Bowl winning Philidelphia Eagles, and his role with the Saints is assistant wide recievers coach. Before that, Valero coached with Kellen Moore in Dallas.

Washington Commanders Roster Moves: Bobby Wagner re-signed to 1-year deal – Hogs Haven
Future Hall of Fame LB Bobby Wagner is returning to the Washington Commanders on a 1-year deal that’s worth up to $9.5 million with $8 million guaranteed. Wagner was signed to a 1-year deal last off-season as Washington tried to stabilize the roster left behind by Ron Rivera with some veteran leadership. Wagner provided that and more as he went on to earn Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro selections.

Bengals grant DE Trey Hendrickson permission to seek trade: Eight potential landing spots for four-time Pro Bowler – NFL.com
5) Washington Commanders. Washington’s defense played well above expectation in 2024, which means its due to regress in 2025. The Commanders kept Bobby Wagner but also benefitted significantly from Dante Fowler’s production, which outpaced his salary by miles. He’s likely to get paid in March, and if it isn’t the Commanders signing his checks, they have plenty of cap space to take on Hendrickson’s deal and consider an extension while adding a proven pass rusher who would instantly improve their overall outlook on that side of the ball. After trading for former 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel over the weekend, the Commanders have proven they’re not afraid to make deals, either.

Dallas Cowboys land top-ranked WR in Dane Brugler’s post-combine mock draft – Blogging The Boys
Tetairoa McMillan sliding into the Dallas Cowboys lap at No. 12 could possibly be a dream come true. The 6’5”, 210-pound WR would be a perfect pairing for CeeDee Lamb and give Dak Prescott another go-to target in the passing game. But, this scenario also presents the perfect trade down opportunity if they want to acquire more draft capital. McMillan is probably one of the few players teams would be willing to trade up for this year. In a weak WR draft class, the former Arizona WR is still considered the top-ranked player at the position despite not competing at the combine. For teams looking for a new WR1, he’s one of the few players in this draft class who fits the bill.

Report — Giants ‘seriously considering’ Aaron Rodgers – Big Blue View
Aaron Rodgers to the New York Giants could really happen. Northjersey.com Giants beat writer Art Stapleton said Thursday on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ that the Giants and Rodgers are “pretty significantly down a road” that could lead to the 41-year-old Rodgers being the team’s quarterback in 2025. “If Aaron Rodgers ends up as a Giant before the start of the league year it would not be a shock,” Stapleton said. “My understanding is, yes, they have talked about what it would take to get Aaron here with the Giants. My understanding is that at every turn the Giants have yet to be scared off … I think from a football fit this is something that they’re seriously considering.”

Myles Garrett trade request update: Browns owner turns down player’s request – Dawgs By Nature
According to Mary Kay Cabot, Haslam notified Garrett to speak to the general manager, Berry, not the owner: “Browns owner Jimmy Haslam recently declined Myles Garrett’s request to talk to him about his trade request, telling him to talk to GM Andrew Berry instead, a league source told cleveland.com” Given the salary cap ramifications and the state of Cleveland’s roster, trading Garrett is difficult to pull off because the team cannot go into full tear down mode. Trading Garrett would cost the Browns significantly more cap space this season and minimize their ability to add to their roster and all but eliminate the ability to trade any other high-priced players.
