Thursday’s Saints vs. 49ers injury report
The New Orleans Saints made two changes to their injury report on Thursday. Taliese Fuaga was upgraded to limited participation, while long snapper Zach Wood was downgraded from limited to DNP. Defensive end Chase Young, left guard Trevor Penning, and safety Julian Blackmon remained absent.
The San Francisco 49ers got bad news on Thursday: starting quarterback Brock Purdy will be ruled out for the Saints matchup on Sunday and possibly miss some time after. Purdy’s injury adds to the 49ers’ terrible injury luck to start the season, which includes injuries to superstar tight end George Kittle and running back Christian McCaffrey.
