Barcelona are being linked with a move for Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup who is seen as another potential alternative to Marcus Rashford this summer.
The Catalans are thought to be keen to keep hold of Rashford permanently, but it seems his €30 million purchase option may be a problem.

Jan Virgili has been mentioned as a possible alternative and it now seems that Schjelderup is another player the Catalan giants are following.
According to O Jogo, Barcelona scouted Schjelderup during Benfica’s 2-1 win over Arouca. The word from a source at the club is that “Barcelona are closely following Schjelderup’s evolution. His potential is undeniable and our observations have been very positive.”
Schjelderup is 21 years of age and began his career at Bodø/Glimt. He moved on to Nordsjælland and then Benfica where he’s been shining for Jose Mourinho’s side.
The youngster caught the eye earlier in the season against Real Madrid in the Champions League with a performance that got the rumor mill very excited indeed.

Schjelderup is valued at around 18 million euros and was linked with a move in the January transfer window but ended up staying at Benfica.
