Jordyn Sports Tyson

When should we expect Jordyn Tyson to return from his injury?

The New Orleans Saints may have hoped that Jordyn Tyson would stay healthy, but unfortunately, that hope has already proved false. He was having a a really good training camp and looked like one of the best offensive players. The only issue was the fear of an injury occurring.

His hamstring issue from college could pop right back up in the future. Oddly enough, that is not the one we are talking about today, as Tyson suffered a different hamstring injury in practice.

With hamstring issues, it can get tricky. They can linger throughout a career, not just a season, so being patient is extremely important. Although the Saints want to start winning and should have a better season than last year, they are unlikely to win a Super Bowl now. There is absolutely no need to rush their rookie star WR back if they do not have to as there are players on the roster, such as Devaughn Vele, Barion Brown, Bryce Lance and Bub Means who should be able to step up in Tyson’s absence.

So, his timetable to return may be a bit longer than what’s currently expected. As of now, Tyson is expected to be out around 2 months, which would be close to the Saints’ matchup with the New York Giants… in New York. Having an injury-prone rookie WR come back from his injury at MetLife seems like a bad decision ever. If the Saints can avoid that (they should), their next game is against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris. Traveling abroad could also cause some issues with any player or the team’s process, so waiting another week might be best.

This, in turn, makes the November 9th matchup against the Cleveland Browns an ideal return date. It gives Tyson more time to recover and brings lower risk than the two previous matchups. Hopefully, there are no complications in the rehab, and he is back on the field making standout plays like he was during training camp.
