Ronda Rousey destroys former UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev after recent comments
MMA legend Ronda Rousey has given her thoughts on recent remarks made by former UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev.
Tomorrow night, Ronda Rousey will compete in mixed martial arts for the first time in almost 10 years when she squares off with Gina Carano. There’s been a lot of talk about the fight and the implications of it, mainly related to the emergence of MVP MMA and what that could mean for the future of the sport.
Some have also questioned Rousey’s stance towards the UFC and some of the remarks she’s made recently. Khamzat Chimaev, for example, noted that there would be no Ronda without the UFC, and that he didn’t put much stock into her fighter pay complaints.
In the pre-fight press conference this week, Rousey had the following response for Khamzat.
Rousey goes after Chimaev
“I would want to make something abundantly clear and that’s that I owe Dana (White) and the Fertittas immensely,” Rousey said during Thursday’s press conference. “I would be caught dead before you ever heard me say a bad thing about any of them. But my loyalty is to them and not the company that they sold. I do not owe TKO’s UFC a damn thing.
“F*cking ‘Cleft-Lip Lincoln’ is just hating because at his press conference for his fight, people are asking about me and my fight because no one gives a sh*t about his ineffectual wrestle-f*ck fests. People actually can’t stop talking about this fight because it’s so stacked and they’re actually excited to see me fight because unlike ‘Kumquat,’ I have a 100 percent finish rate.”
